If you come from abroad

If you arrive at Frankfurt Airport you can easily reach Heidelberg by train. Use the time table of Deutsche Bahn and enter "Frankfurt Airport" as point of departure. Note that at Frankfurt airport there are two different train stations, the "Fernbahnhof" (~ long distance trains) and the "Regionalbahnhof" (~ short distance trains). The time table will tell you which one to use.

How to find your way in Heidelberg

Most of the hotels are located within 20 minutes walking distance to the "Physikalisches Institut" at the Philosophenweg where the conference will take place. You can look up your hotel (red labels) and the "Physikalisches Institut" (1) on the following map and the list below. If you prefer using public transport you will find some information in the list, too. In addition to that there exists a time table of the public transport system online that also produces small local maps. For a detailed map of the conference buildings at the Philosophenweg click here. For an interactive map of Heidelberg click here.

Please note that it is practically impossible to get a parking place at or near the Philosophenweg. We therefore highly recommend to walk to the conference place or use public transportation.
