Unfortunately, due to several delays in the construction process, the workshop cannot take place in the BIOQUANT-building, as it was intitially planned. Therefore, we move to the Kirchhoff Institute for Physics (KIP). Below you find a description of how to find the KIP.
As already noted, the VW-Foundation will bear the expenses of traveling for all of you, who are involved in the funding initiative "New conceptional approaches to model and simulate complex systems". Please use the prepared form (English / German) to submit your costs. At the best, you could hand in the form along with copies of your tickets already at the workshop. However, please send it in until March 31th at the latest!
If you do not arrive via train, you can find a route to the hotel here:
From the hotel it is most convenient to take tram no. 24 (direction Handschuhsheim) and get out at stop "Bunsen-Gymnasium". If you turn 90 degrees to the left, you already see the BIOQUANT building as one of the headmost buildings of the campus.
Due to problems at the construction site, the workshop is moved to the Kirchhoff Institute for Physics (KIP).
The KIP is the black building you see on the left side after passing the BioQuant. On this campus map, the tram stop "Bunsen-Gymnasium" is at "j", while the KIP is the gray block above no. 51. (The BioQuant is building no. 43.)
On thursday evening, i.e. on March 15th, we will have dinner in the famous Altstadt of Heidelberg in a restaurant called Kulturbrauerei. Below you find a Map24-Link to check how you can get there. It is worth walking along the Hauptstraße in the Altstadt or next to the Neckar and see a bit of Heidelberg. Otherwise you can also take Bus no. 31 directly from "Technologiepark" (at the Campus) to "Marstallstr." or change at "Bismarckplatz" to Bus no. 35 and get out at "Neckarmüzplatz".
