Procedure:

1.) If you want to get an examination date for the Diplomprüfung in
      theoretical physics or in an optional subject (Wahlfach) in the physics direction
      for the period from December 02, 2011 to February 03, 2012
      with one of the above mentioned examiners, the pre-registration is obligatory required.
      Pre-registration is only possible via the following online-forms.

      Pre-registration is only possible in the period from October 10, 2011, 09.00 hrs to October 14, 2011, 12.00 hrs.

      PLEASE NOTE: Pre-registration is only possible at the computers of the CIP-Pools
      in the premises of Albert-Ueberle-Str. 3-5, 1.OG (first floor) West and INF 227 (KIP) (see also here ).
      You have to log in Unix !

      You must go to the CIP-pool, log in there (in Unix) and then select the web form.
      Please indicate the priority of examiners with which you want to have your examination (first priority, second priority etc.).
      If you want to pre-register for an examination in an optional subject (Wahlfach) in the physics direction,
      you will also be asked for the Wahlfach (e.g. QFT, ART etc.) and for the names of professors
      where you heard the corresponding lectures.

2.) On October 15, 2011 we will inform you via email who will be you examiner.
      In this email you will be informed about your rank of the sequence in which students
      can fix their dates on the list (see below).

      Note: we will try to accommodate your preferences, however, we cannot
      guarantee you will get an examination date with the professor of your choice.
      If the demand for a certain examiner is greater than the available
      examination dates of this examiner, the dates will be assigned by lot.
      (The chronological order of your pre-registration within the mentioned period
      is not relevant for the assignment of examiners and examination dates.)
      Altogether there will be enough examination dates for all students.
     

3.) Subsequently, you must go to the secretariat of the Institute for Theoretical Physics, Philosophenweg 16,
      and register for a fixed date on the list of the assigned examiner.
      There will be a random order which determines your examiner as well as the
      precise date and time of your examination. This order will also be assigned by lot.
      In the above mentioned email we will send you the corresponding rank that fixes
      the order of students who can fix their dates on the lists.
      You must come in due time (see below) to the secretariat of Theoretical Physics,
      Philosophenweg 16, in order to exercise your right to choose.

      There is one list for each examiner. There are fixed times for the start
      of registration for each list and the precise examination dates.

      Prof. Hebecker: on October 19, 2011 , 10.00 hrs

      Prof. Heermann: on October 19, 2011 , 11.15 hrs

      Prof. Komnik: on October 19, 2011 , 14.00 hrs

      Prof. Plehn: on October 20, 2011 , 10.00 hrs

      Prof. Schaffner-Bielich: on October 20, 2011 , 11.15 hrs

      Prof. Wetterich: on October 20, 2011 , 14.00 hrs

      If you do not come to the secretariat of the Institute for Theoretical Physics, Philosophenweg 16,
      for fixing the precise date on the list of your assigned examiner, you cannot get an examination date.
      If you come later than the above mentioned time, you can still fix a date on the list, however, you do not
      have the opportunity to choose anymore and you might have to be satisfied with the date that is left.

4.) Subsequently, you must go to the student secretariat for examinations (Prüfungssekretariat)
      and reregister your examination there (at the latest three weeks before your examination date):
